Formal Languages Journals

Over the years, I have put together a list of journals accepting papers from the area of formal language theory. In this post, I would like to share this list with you.

When you do research, it is useful to keep a list of journals in which you can publish your results. My research specialization is formal languages: a branch of mathematics that formalizes languages and devices that define them strictly rigorously. Such devices include grammars and automata.

The following journals accept papers from this area. For each journal, I include its name, abbreviation, website, impact factor (IF), and possibly additional notes. The journals are ordered by their IF.

Of course, the list below is by no means complete. If you know of a journal that accepts papers from the area of formal language theory and is not present in the list, please, let me know! However, I have no interest in predatory journals.
